The IAYMH was established in 2012 to assist in advocating and collaborating for the mental health needs of young people across the world. In recent years, many countries around the globe have witnessed the emergence of the youth mental health movement, a new paradigm that acknowledges the importance of targeted services for youth in the critical age group of 12 – 25 years. Aims

To ensure that mental health services are more responsive to the health needs of young people across the world. Promote public and professional interest in the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 12 to 25. Strive for systems change which advocates for a developmentally appropriate service response for young people and their families and carers.
