Nominations for the IAYMH Executive closed 8 July. We've been amazed by the number received, 55 in all - a testament to your interest in and commitment to playing a critical role in the future of the Association, and changing the way the global community thinks about young people and their mental health.
As a result of the high number of nominations, the Association will stage an election commencing this Wednesday 18 July. As some people have nominated for more than one position, we will run two ballots.
The first will be for the Office Bearer positions of President, Vice President (with two posts available), Secretary, and Treasurer. The second ballot, to be held soon after the first closes, will be for the seven Ordinary Member positions.
TrueVote has been appointed to conduct the ballot on behalf of the Association. An email from TrueVote will be sent to all members on Wednesday 18 July AEST and provide you with a link to the first ballot; the second ballot will be sent on Monday 6 August. Both ballots will be open for a two-week period, and we hope to announce the overarching results by Monday 27 August.
TrueVote will provide access to candidate biographies to help inform your vote. We encourage all members to participate in the IAYMH Executive Elections - thank you for your time thus far.
