The IAYMH was established in 2012 to assist in advocating and collaborating for the mental health needs of young people around the world – and is lead by volunteers who serve on its Executive Committee.
Given the recent adoption of a new Constitution, IAYMH is calling for nominations to establish a new Executive Committee – an exciting opportunity to drive the Association's direction and contribute to its important work, while expanding governance skills and professional networks.
The Executive Committee is comprised of 12 members – the IAYMH is seeking nominations for the positions of:
- Vice-Presidents – two;
- Secretary – only members who reside in Australia are eligible to be appointed to this post;
- Treasurer – only members who reside in Australia are eligible to be appointed to this post; and
- Ordinary members – seven.
View information on the roles and responsibilities of Executive Committee members here. To be eligible, nominees must be:
- An IAYMH member;
- Aged 18 years and over; and
- Willing to serve a full two-year term.
The IAYMH aims for one third of Committee Members to be aged 18-25, with the group as a whole representative of the geographic diversity of the Association's membership. Committee Members are expected to attend quarterly meetings and sub-committee meetings as required, in person or remotely.
In accordance with the Constitution, nominations must be received within 14 days after the call for the nominations.
